Building Smart Investment Habits That Last
Most people think automation means handing over control. But here's what we've learned after working with hundreds of Australians — it's actually the opposite.
Our program teaches you how automated investment systems work from the inside out. Not because you need to become a programmer, but because understanding the logic changes how you think about money entirely.
We started this back in 2023 when a few clients kept asking the same question: "Why does my automated portfolio do what it does?" That curiosity became the foundation for something bigger.

Four Stages That Actually Make Sense
We don't believe in cramming everything into a weekend workshop. Real understanding happens when you have time to experiment, make mistakes, and ask questions that matter to your situation.
Foundation Logic
How do algorithms decide where your money goes? We break down the decision trees that run behind every automated trade. You'll see why certain patterns trigger certain actions.
Risk Architecture
This is where things get interesting. Most platforms use the same basic risk models, but how they apply them varies wildly. You'll learn to read between the lines of what providers actually offer.
Portfolio Mechanics
Rebalancing isn't magic — it's math with rules. We show you exactly how automated systems decide when to buy, sell, or hold. Plus the tax implications that platforms rarely mention upfront.
Personal Strategy
By this stage, you're ready to design an approach that fits your actual life. Not some theoretical ideal investor, but someone with specific goals and constraints that matter to you.
Who's Teaching This Stuff
Our instructors have built automated systems, debugged them when they failed, and helped real people figure out what works.
Elspeth Korving
Algorithm Specialist
Spent eight years building trading systems before she realized most users had no idea what was happening under the hood. Now she translates code into plain talk.
Maeve Lundgren
Portfolio Strategist
Used to manage institutional portfolios. Got tired of watching individual investors make avoidable mistakes and decided teaching was more rewarding than beating benchmarks.
Callum Thorsen
Technical Systems Lead
Builds the simulations we use for training. Has a knack for explaining complex systems without dumbing them down or overcomplicating simple concepts.
Dagmar Ivarsson
Risk Framework Designer
Former actuary who switched careers after realizing risk modeling is useless if people don't understand what the numbers actually mean in their daily decisions.

How the Program Actually Runs
September 2025 Intake
12 weeks, Tuesday and Thursday evenings
We meet online for two hours each session. Half the time is spent on concepts, the other half on working through real portfolio scenarios. You'll have access to our simulation platform where you can test strategies without risking actual money.
Small Group Format
Maximum 15 participants per cohort
We keep groups deliberately small. Not as some premium marketing angle, but because we've found that meaningful discussion breaks down once you hit about 20 people in a virtual room. Questions get generic, and specific situations don't get addressed.
Practical Assignments
Weekly challenges based on real situations
Each week you'll analyze a different automated portfolio setup. Some are well-designed, others have obvious problems, and a few have subtle issues that only show up under specific market conditions. You'll learn to spot the difference.
Ongoing Resources
Access continues after completion
Markets change. Platforms update their algorithms. New regulations shift how things work. Once you complete the program, you'll keep access to our quarterly updates and the private discussion forum where graduates share what they're seeing.
Next Cohort Starts September
We're taking applications through July 2025. Not everyone who applies will be a good fit — this program assumes you already have some investment experience and genuine curiosity about how automation works. If you're looking for a get-rich-quick scheme or want someone to just manage everything for you, this probably isn't it.
